White Glove Moving Service for Antiques, Art and Fine Furniture
Before there was a removals company, there was an antique dealer. Jack Wolfe spent years supplying antique shops in Chelsea and collecting from salerooms across Britain and Europe. Wolves grew out of that — so the people wrapping your paintings and your marble knew what they were worth long before they ever carried them.
- Two-person crews, into the room you choose
- Unwrapped, assembled, placed — packaging taken away

What a White Glove Move Looks Like
Two people minimum, and more when a piece needs them. Your things come inside and into the room you want them in. Not the hallway. Not the drive.
Floors, door frames and banisters go under cover first. Everything travels blanket-wrapped and corner-guarded, in a made-to-measure crate when a blanket is not enough. Narrow stairs, awkward corners and pieces that will not go through a door the obvious way are worked out at the survey, not on the day.
At the other end we unwrap, assemble and put things where you want them. Then we take the packaging with us. You should not be left with a hallway full of cardboard.

White Glove Moving and Storage, in Our Own Warehouse
Plenty of these jobs never run door to door. A sale completes before the new house is ready. A dealer buys three lots at three salerooms over a month. A designer’s furniture turns up from four suppliers, none of it on the day the client wants it in place.
All of that has to go somewhere in between, and ours is our own warehouse. Your pieces stay with the people who collected them. They are not handed to a storage firm, unloaded by strangers, or handled more times than they need to be. They go into clean, dry containerised storage, listed against your name, and come out when you say so.
For the trade that also means we can hold several collections and deliver them as one install, instead of you being there for six separate deliveries.

Run by People Who Were in the Antiques Trade
Jack Wolfe worked as an antique dealer for years before he ran a removals firm, supplying respected antique shops in Chelsea and across London. The company began by collecting from auction houses in Britain and Europe for dealers and buyers, and it still does.
You can see it in how things get handled. Which surfaces never take tape. Why a marble top travels on its own. What a warm van does to a loose veneer. Where to take the weight on a piece that was built in 1820.
It is also why we are a LAPADA Approved Service Provider — approved by the Association of Art & Antique Dealers, the trade body a good many of our customers belong to themselves. Very few removals firms hold it.

White Glove Removals in London and Across the UK: Collections for the Trade
Trade work runs to different rules and we plan it that way. For dealers, that means collecting from salerooms and shops, checking a lot against its description before it goes on, and one vehicle for your run rather than your pieces sharing space with somebody else’s.
For interior designers it is usually the awkward middle of a project. Furniture arrives from several suppliers over weeks and has to be received, held, and then installed in one visit once the building work is finally done. One coordinator runs the whole sequence, so you are not chasing four couriers and hoping the sofa does not beat the floor.
Everything goes in the order the room needs it, placed, built and unwrapped, and the packaging leaves with us.

Exhibition and Event Work
We move pieces to venues for exhibitions and events: in for a fixed date, unloaded to somebody else’s schedule, placed where the layout says, and collected again at the end of the run. Our vehicles, crews and warehouse already suit it, and it is work we want more of.
Tell us the venue and the timings when you first call. Loading bay, lift or no lift, marshalling, and how tight the get-in and get-out really are. Those four things decide the vehicle and the crew, and they are far easier to sort at the quote than at the door.

Our Own Vehicles, Our Own Crews
We are a licensed HGV operator running in full compliance, with our own fleet rather than hired-in vans and drivers. On this kind of job that matters: the vehicle suits the load, the tail-lift and access kit are already aboard, and the people who wrapped your things are the people who unload them.
Nothing is passed to a subcontractor halfway. Our crews are trained, uniformed and DBS-checked, and you deal with one coordinator from the survey to the last piece going down — not a call centre, and not a different firm at the far end.
Everything is covered while it is with us: goods-in-transit and public liability insurance on every job, and optional full damage cover for an extra 10% of your invoice total. Flag anything unusually valuable at the survey and we will settle the cover and the handling together, before the day rather than after it.

What We Do Not Do
No single-item deliveries; that is courier work. No climate-controlled or air freight, so a piece that genuinely needs a temperature-controlled vehicle or international art shipping wants a specialist fine-art shipper instead.
We do not run a casemaking workshop, handle customs, carnets or bonded warehousing, and we are not museum art logistics. If a job needs any of that, we will say so at the survey. What we do is move antiques, artwork and fine furniture properly, with our own people, our own vehicles and our own warehouse behind it.

White Glove Service — Your Questions Answered
Time, and who is carrying. A standard move is priced on getting a household from one address to another. This is priced on the pieces — how they are wrapped, who lifts them, what order they come off the van, and where they end up in the room. Nothing gets stacked to save a trip. It is the difference between a piece arriving and a piece arriving intact.
Yes. Paintings, framed works, mirrors and sculpture are ordinary days for us. They travel in acid-free tissue and breathable wrapping, never plastic that traps damp against a surface, and in a crate when the piece deserves one. What we do not do is climate-controlled or air freight. If a work truly needs a temperature-controlled vehicle, we will tell you so and point you at a fine-art shipper.
Yes, and it is a good part of what we do. Collecting from salerooms and shops across Britain and Europe is where this company started. Collection deadlines, paperwork, checking a lot against its description before it goes on the van — none of that is new to us. We can take in several lots over weeks, hold them in our own warehouse, and deliver when you are ready for them.
We are West Sussex based and most of our work is here. But a job that starts in Sussex goes wherever it needs to — London regularly, and nationwide when the move calls for it. Our founder spent years working with shops in Chelsea and across the capital, so London is familiar ground. We run into Europe too. Outside Sussex, ask rather than assume.
Yes — goods-in-transit and public liability cover on every job, with optional full damage insurance for an extra 10% of your invoice total. Your written quote spells out exactly what applies to your move.
No. We take full moves and collections, not one-off drops. A single chair going across the country is a courier job and there are firms set up for exactly that who will do it faster and for less. Where we earn our place is a whole property, a dealer’s collection, a designer’s install, or a group of lots that need collecting together.
Yes — that is the whole point. Your things come into the property and into the room you choose, get unwrapped, built where they need building, and put where you want them. Floors, frames and banisters are protected before anything comes through, and the packaging leaves with us. If something needs hanging or fixing, say so at the survey and we will bring the right crew and kit.
Yes, in our own warehouse rather than somebody else’s. Items are listed against your name and stay with the crew who collected them, which spares them the extra handling that causes most damage. It is the usual arrangement for dealers buying across several sales, and for designers whose furniture lands long before the room is ready.
A few days for a survey. For the move itself it depends on size, access at both ends and how far it travels, and we would rather give you a date we can hold than a hopeful one. If you are working to an auction collection deadline, a completion or an exhibition get-in, say so at the start. That is the date everything else gets planned around.
Most moves are a mix, and that is usually the sensible answer. The everyday contents go as a standard house removal and the pieces that need it get the white-glove treatment inside the same job, same van, same crew. You are not paying a premium rate on the garden furniture. We work out the split at the survey and price it clearly.
