Frequently asked questions

Our frequently asked questions can offer you lots of advice and hopefully, solve your queries. We encourage you to use these FAQs as an answer to our services before you contact us. If your question is not answered, please feel free to request a callback or fill in our handy contact form.

Are my goods insured?

At our standard rates, we hold no liability for your goods in transit. We offer full damage insurance for your goods for an extra 10% of the total cost of your invoice. Please read our Terms and Conditions to better understand our liability policy. Our terms and conditions are very important and we ask that you give them a read-through to ensure that you are aware of them.

Are there any restrictions on items you can move?

We do not generally transport any flammable liquids or gases in our lorries. We also request that no paint or oil is transported due to the risk of damage should they leak. This can cause damage to both our vehicles, equipment, and your goods should this happen. It may sound obvious, but we also cannot transport drugs, firearms, or ammunition. This is for the safety of both you and our staff members. Our aim is to keep everyone out of harm’s way by taking precautions such as these.

Are your staff trained?

Wolves staff are all experienced movers that have all been subject to our personal training program, health, and safety training, and police CRB checks. We ensure that this is all undertaken to allow our staff to be as informed and educated as possible. This allows them to act appropriately in all situations.

Can I move at the weekend?

Wolves staff are committed to your move and work 7 days a week, we tailor our services to ensure you get the exact date and timescale you need. No matter your priorities and commitments, we will do our best to work to your schedule and make your move as easy as possible.

Do I have to arrange parking?

Yes. Our parking for the day is entirely down to you to arrange. To that end, you should arrange all the necessary permits, passes, and paperwork to make sure we are parking legally. Please read our Terms and Conditions for more details. If you need some more information after this, give us a call or an email and we will do our best to help.

Do you dismantle and reassemble my furniture?

All of our vans carry the necessary tools on board to dismantle and reassemble your furniture. Please make sure you mention you require the service at the quotation stage so that we can allow time for it. This is important, as we want to ensure that you are happy and settled on both ends of our services.

Do you offer an international removal service?

Our motto is “No Job Too Big, No Journey Too Far”. We have experience removing around the EU and we are happy to quote for any international removals. Simply express this upon contacting us and we will be able to provide a more specialised advice plan for you.

How do I pay for my removal?

We accept credit/debit cards, cash upon completion or BACS payment. Unfortunately we can no longer accept cheques.

How long will my removal take?

There are various factors that affect the time a move can take. Some include the number of goods and distance. However, it’s the little things that take the most time. The difference of being able to park our van 2-3 metres closer to the house can make a huge difference in the time of our loading/ unloading. This allows for more efficiency and quicker service. Following our moving plan and checklist will help you reduce the time we take. This is highly recommended to help both you and our staff make sure your day goes as smoothly as possible.

How do I pay for my removal?

We accept credit/debit cards, cash upon completion or BACS payment. Unfortunately we can no longer accept cheques.

How many men will do my removal?

The size of the Wolves crew you get is dependent on the information we gather from our prior discussions and inspection of the site. Generally, a crew of 2-4 men will suffice for average jobs. If you have a differing service or have other requirements, we will plan for this. No matter the circumstances, we will be able to provide a solution.

I’m not going far, do you offer smaller removals?

We will do a full removal no matter how far the distance. However, we cannot transport individual items like beds or rabbit hutches.

What do I do about boxes?

can provide all boxes, bubble wrap and tape prior to the move day for you to pack yourself. In comparison, we can come in and carefully pack your house piece by piece at an extra cost. Call us now to discuss packing service. Please note: Boxes, bubble wrap, tape and other packing materials items are charged extra.

What time will the van arrive?

At Wolves, we try to be prompt so the move starts smoothly. Our staff generally leave base between 6:00 am and 8:00 am depending on the location of the property. We aim to be at your door between 8:30 am and 9:00 am unless otherwise prearranged. On some occasions we may be delayed, however, our staff will maintain good contact with you and arrive as soon as they possibly can. If you would like updates, we can also arrange this for your peace of mind, so just ask us about this.

We cover areas in West Sussex such as Arundel, Bognor Regis, Burgess Hill, Chichester, Crawley, East Preston, Henfield, Horley, Horsham Lancing, Littlehampton, Midhurst, Billinghurst, and many more.

All Surrounding Areas of East Sussex such as Brighton, Eastbourne, Lewes, Saltdean, Tunbridge Wells, Uckfield, Worthing, Hove.

In Hampshire, We cover every area in and around Petersfield. We are currently limited to a few Surrey regions, but our services are constantly expanding throughout this county such as Guildford and Reigate.
