Furniture Delivery for Shops and Showrooms
The delivery is the last thing your customer remembers about buying from you. We do it as an extension of your shop — two of our own people, in our own van, into the room of choice, assembled and with the packaging taken away.
- Two-person crews, into the room of choice
- Soft assembly, packaging taken away
- We can hold stock until your customer is ready
- Our own vans and crews — nothing subcontracted

When a Delivery Goes Wrong, Your Customer Blames You
They do not ring the delivery firm. They ring the shop they bought it from, leave the review on the shop’s page, and tell their friends about the shop. That is not just how customers behave — it is roughly how the law sees it too.
The Furniture & Home Improvement Ombudsman puts it plainly: under consumer law the retailer is responsible for goods arriving on time and in good condition, and courier failures create retailer liability. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires a delivery to be carried out with reasonable care and skill, and handing the job to a contractor does not automatically hand over the liability with it.
So the crew who carry a sofa through somebody’s hallway are representing you, whatever it says on the side of the van. Ours know that, and they are the reason this page exists.

What Your Customer Actually Gets
Two people on every delivery, because one person and a sack barrow is how door frames get marked. The item comes into the property and into the room of choice — not the hallway, not the garage, not propped against a wall for somebody else to shift later.
Floors, door frames and banisters are covered before anything is carried through. The item is unwrapped, soft-assembled, and put where the customer wants it. Then the packaging leaves with us, which sounds small until you have had a customer ring the shop about a living room full of cardboard.
We ring ahead so nobody spends a day waiting in, and if access is going to be a problem — a first-floor flat, a narrow lane, a door the sofa will not go through — we would rather know when the order is placed than work it out on the pavement.

The Same Faces, Every Week
The national two-man networks describe themselves, in their own words, as shared-user operations. Your delivery shares a truck with other people’s, and the crew who carry your customer’s sofa are whoever the rota produced that morning.
Ours are our own employees, trained, uniformed and DBS-checked, and on a regular arrangement it is the same people on your work week after week. They learn your products, they learn which of your lines are awkward through a doorway, and your customers meet somebody who behaves like they work for you — because for that hour, effectively, they do.
Nothing is subcontracted out. We are a licensed HGV operator running in full compliance with our own fleet, so there is no third party between your shop and your customer’s living room.

A Warehouse, Not Just a Van
Furniture retail has a storage problem that pure delivery firms cannot solve. Customers buy months ahead of completion dates, building work slips, and a sold item has to live somewhere that is not your shop floor.
We have our own secure warehouse, so we can take stock in, hold it against your name, and deliver when the customer is finally ready. For showrooms buying at trade fairs or taking container deliveries, that also means we can receive and consolidate rather than you finding space for everything at once.
It is the same warehouse and the same crews that handle white glove work for dealers and interior designers, so pieces that need genuine care get it as a matter of course rather than as an upgrade.

For Independent Showrooms, and for Larger Retailers
If you are an independent shop, this is straightforward. You get a named person who answers the phone, crews who turn up looking like they belong to your business, and no minimum volume to hit. Most of our retail work is exactly this.
If you are a larger retailer, be clear-eyed about what we are: a regional partner. We are not going to run your national next-day operation. What we can do properly is the South East — a defined patch, handled by one firm with its own vehicles, where the deliveries that need care do not get treated as low-priority drops on somebody else’s trunk route.
Plenty of retailers run a national network for volume and somebody local for the pieces that matter. That is a sensible arrangement and we are happy to be the second one.

What We Do Not Have
Worth saying before you ask, because every rival page leaves you to find out. We do not have a live tracking portal, electronic proof of delivery, or an integration into your order system. If your website promises your customer a tracking link, we cannot serve that promise, and you should use a network that can.
We do not run a national next-day network, we are not a pallet operation, and we do not quote three-hour delivery windows we would then have to defend. What you get instead is a named person and a phone number: someone who knows your account, can tell you where a delivery actually is, and can change something at short notice without it going through a system.
For a showroom doing tens of deliveries a month that is usually better. For hundreds a week it is not, and we will tell you so.

Contract Delivery Services — Your Questions Answered
We ring ahead rather than turn up and hope, and if nobody is there we speak to you before we do anything else. The item comes back to our warehouse rather than being left with a neighbour or taken back to your shop floor, and it goes out again on a day that suits the customer. You are not paying for a full second delivery because somebody went to the dentist.
Soft assembly as standard — feet on a sofa, shelf pins in, a dining table levelled, a bed frame put together. That covers the great majority of what a furniture shop sells. Anything needing a fitter, a plumber or an electrician is not us, and we will say so at the quote rather than discover it in somebody’s kitchen.
We are fully insured, with goods-in-transit and public liability cover in place, and your written agreement sets out exactly what applies. More useful day to day: our crews are trained furniture handlers rather than parcel drivers, everything is blanket-wrapped and corner-guarded, and floors and door frames go under cover before anything comes through. The cheapest claim is the one nobody has to make.
Yes, and for furniture retail it is often the whole point. A customer buys a sofa in March for a house that will not be finished until June. Rather than it sitting on your shop floor or in your own unit, it comes into our warehouse, listed against your name, and goes out when they are ready for it.
Sussex is home and most runs are here, with Surrey, Hampshire and Kent regular. We deliver into London and nationwide where a piece justifies the journey — and for a showroom that occasionally sells to somebody two hundred miles away, that matters more than a network’s postcode map. Tell us where your customers actually are and we will tell you honestly whether we fit.
Tell us your volume and we will tell you straight whether we are the right firm. A handful of drops a week is exactly the work we are built for. If you are shipping hundreds a week across the country, a national network will serve you better than we can, and we would rather say so at the first meeting than let you find out three months in.
Usually yes, when it is arranged in advance so the crew and the vehicle are planned for it. It is worth agreeing at the outset who is telling the customer that, because a crew arriving with no room in the van for a two-seater is the kind of small thing that turns a good delivery into a complaint.
A conversation and, if it looks right, a trial run of a few deliveries. You will see how the crew handle your products and how your customers react before anybody signs anything. We would rather earn the regular work than talk you into it, and a fortnight of real deliveries tells you more than any presentation.
Often, yes. We work seven days a week and can plan around a customer who is only in at the weekend, or a showroom that would rather we collected before opening. Say what you need when we quote and we will tell you whether it is workable rather than agreeing and then struggling.
Yes, and it is the part we take most seriously. They ring ahead, they explain what they are doing, they take their shoes off or put covers on, and they leave the room as they found it. If something is not right they tell you before they leave the property, so you hear it from us rather than from a review.
That is our background rather than an add-on. We are a LAPADA Approved Service Provider and our founder worked as an antique dealer before starting the company, so a period piece or something genuinely valuable is handled by people who know what they are carrying. See our antiques service for how that works.
