Seafront Flats, Parking Bays and Access

Worthing’s centre and seafront sit inside controlled parking zones. Zone A, the core, is enforced Monday to Saturday from 9am to 6pm; the outer zones D to N are checked only between 10 and 11 in the morning and 2 and 3 in the afternoon. Where a lorry needs to stand in a marked bay, Adur & Worthing Councils will suspend it for a house move: five working days’ notice, from £40 for each ten-metre bay, applied for through the MiPermit portal. We check the street at survey and make the application ourselves, so the bay outside your door is suspended for your slot.

Our crews come in from the north on the A24 and join the A27 at the Grove Lodge roundabout, which spares us most of the coast road. Timing. The A27 queues daily at peak — Lyons Farm is the worst of it — and it is not being improved, so we build contingency into the slot and come down the A24 rather than along the coast.
